?! My favourite is a large sign next to a bridleway in Monsal Dale that reads 'Non Farm Vehicles BUGGER OFF'! Hope you are well mate, fancy a meet up and run soon?
that sort of behaviour (the nail benders) needs reporting somewhere...if its a public footpath and the way is temporarily unpassable then they (nail benders) need to clearly show a diversion. now, who do we report this to? peak park? will ask a ranger friend of mine. I'm sure photos and a grid ref will be useful.
Update from my ranger friend about who to report to "The pathways officer of the local council. If its on the Pennine Way also the National Park ranger who deals with the PW. I'd also speak to the Ramblers they are usually very proactive."
Chrome Hill? Always a sore point, no idea why.
ReplyDeleteHi Nick
DeleteThe top one is Chrome hill and the nailed up one is Parkhouse.
I have no idea what the problem is.
just vault the obstacles
ReplyDeleteHi UC
DeleteThe gate was ok. it was the nettles and brambles on Parkhouse hill were the much worse. Ouch!
Looks like a challenge to me...

ReplyDeleteHi lynne
DeleteBoth paths are concession paths, leading to access land so I am not sure about the rights and wrongs.
Some really nice photos there. I really need to get a decent small camera, as the photos I take with my phone are total rubbish.
